We run 2 onsite training programmes
Now taking bookings for our courses starting in September
“Gardening can boost our mental health”
If you are an unemployed adult living with mental health challenges, you can sign up for one of our courses in practical horticulture starting in September. You will learn a variety of gardening techniques in a professional and supportive environment.
Level 1 City & Guilds in practical horticulture
Starts Friday 13th September
Friday’s 10am-1pm for minimum 12 weeks.
This is an accredited course with no previous experience necessary.
Level 2 City & Guilds in practical horticulture
Starts Wednesday 11th September
Wednesday’s 10am-1pm for 12 weeks.
This is an accredited course. Some previous horticultural or gardening experience is desirable.

Supported work placements – we now have spaces on a Friday afternoon 1.30pm-4pm
For adults who are unemployed and aiming to get back into work or progress into further education, we offer 3 month supported work placements in our garden centre. Trainees receive excellent support and training in plant knowledge and customer care. This programme is run by our training co-ordinator Sophia Rowe who also teaches the level 1 and 2 courses in practical horticulture. For more information please email Sophia on [email protected]
